How to Dance in Ohio is an inspiring new musical that celebrates the courage to embrace change, build meaningful connections, and discover your place in the world. Featuring music by Jacob Yandura and a book and lyrics by Rebekah Greer Melocik, the musical is based on the award-winning 2015 HBO documentary by Alexandra Shiva and inspired by a true story. Set in Columbus, Ohio, the story follows a group of Autistic young adults and their families as they prepare for a spring formal dance. As they navigate new experiences, changing routines, and the excitement of this important milestone, each character embarks on a heartfelt journey of growth, self-discovery, and belonging. Filled with humor, warmth, and hope, How to Dance in Ohio is a moving celebration of community, acceptance, and the joy of stepping beyond your comfort zone. Admission: $4–$20
