The Forever Tour brings Barbara Mason , WAR , The Chi-Lites , The Whispers and more to the Long Beach Arena at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center on Saturday, November 28, 2026. Nine acts share one stage for a night of classic soul, R&B and West Coast oldies. The full bill is Barbara Mason, WAR, The Chi-Lites, The Whispers, Trish Toledo, Los Yesterdays, MC Magic, Amanda Perez and The Charities, hosted by Anthony Biscotti with DJ Ernie G. WAR formed in Long Beach in 1969 and has been performing for more than 55 years. The band’s catalog includes “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” and “The World Is a Ghetto,” built on funk, Latin rhythms, jazz and R&B. Barbara Mason wrote “Yes, I’m Ready” as a teenager. It reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the R&B chart in 1965. The Chi-Lites recorded “Oh Girl” and “Have You Seen Her” in Chicago in the early 1970s. The Whispers have performed West Coast harmony R&B since the 1960s and are known for “Rock Steady” and “It’s a Love Thing.” Trish Toledo and Los Yesterdays perform regularly on the Southern California oldies and lowrider circuit. MC Magic has recorded Latin R&B out of Phoenix for three decades. Amanda Perez performs “Angel,” which reached No. 20 on the Hot 100 in 2003. The Charities complete the lineup.
