About this event
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the world's largest hot air balloon festival, featuring more than 500 balloons launching over nine days in October. The event includes a thriving vendor market with more than 100 food and merchandise vendors and artisans selling everything from handcrafted items to local and regional cuisine. Vendors offer art, jewelry, textiles, pottery, food trucks, and official Balloon Fiesta merchandise. The festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors who shop and dine at vendor booths throughout the day, particularly in the hours before and after balloon launches. Balloon Fiesta Park is located in Albuquerque's north valley, and the event runs annually during the first full week of October. The venue provides both mass ascension events with balloons launching at sunrise and evening balloon glow events. Vendor participation is competitive, with application opportunities available through the official Balloon Fiesta website.
