Halloween Boricua: The Legend of El Chupacabras will be an interactive Halloween event centered around Puerto Rican folklore and the legend of El Chupacabras. Students will learn about the origins and cultural significance of the Chupacabras story in Puerto Rico before participating in an original murder mystery game created by the PRSA E-Board. Each student will take on a character and receive their own case file containing clues, evidence, and information about other characters. Throughout the game, students will work together to piece together the evidence, contribute to a shared evidence board, and determine which person among them is secretly the killer. In addition to the murder mystery, the event will include other Halloween-themed activities and arts and crafts that incorporate elements of Puerto Rican culture, folklore, and traditions. These activities will give students additional ways to participate in the event and engage with Puerto Rican culture in a creative and interactive way.
