Fashionable styles of the past were made possible with all kinds of hidden trickery: undergarments and internal structures that restrained in some places and filled out in others. From corsets to bustles to “bust improvers,” explore the insides and underpinnings that made historic silhouettes possible. Join Curator of Collections, Clara Berg for a historical overview and then an intimate viewing of interesting and surprising artifacts from the museum’s collection.
