About this event
This event has been postponed to a later date. Stay tune for updates! The Qi is in the tea! West China Tea joins us on Oct 7 (Wed) for Seeking Equilibrium: Cha Qi , a very special and intimate one-hour workshop exploring Cha Qi , or The Qi of Tea (prounounced "chee"). Cha Qi , meaning "breath of tea," encompasses the psychedelic and nootropic qualities, health benefits, and spiritual gravity of tea, as well as the subtleties of its taste and aroma. In this session, tea practitioner So-Han will guide you through the Cascade Method , a technique for encountering the Qi of Tea through techniques rooted in the Chinese concepts of Hui Gan , Hou Yun , Xiang Qi , and more. Find your own balance in the cup. This workshop will be hosted in the Jones Center's 2nd floor Community Room. Kindly note: drinks are not permitted in the galleries. Limited spots available. Come get your Cha Qi on! Entry to this workshop includes admission to Rooftop Sessions: BALANCE . After the workshop concludes, enjoy a rooftop performance by Ditch Girls from 7:30–8:30P. Parking and accommodations • Parking is available at paid street meters and nearby commercial garages and lots. Rideshare or public transportation is highly encouraged. • For accommodation requests, please contact accessibility@thecontemporaryaustin.org
