About this event
The Capital District Farmers Market in Menands is a producer-only farmers market operating seasonally on Saturday mornings from May through October at a fully enclosed pavilion with free parking and restroom facilities. Vendors sell locally grown produce, plants, flowers, artisanal foods, baked goods, handmade goods, and crafts directly from the Capital District region. The market caters to both retail customers seeking fresh local products and wholesale buyers including restaurants, farm stands, and retailers. A producer-only market means vendors must grow or produce 90 percent of their own merchandise. Amenities include free on-site parking, accessible restrooms, and ATM access. The market has operated continuously since 1933 and is now recognized as a USDA Regional Food Hub supporting over 100 cooperative members.
