About this event
The Mountaineer Week Arts and Craft Fair is a juried craft fair held annually at West Virginia University, celebrating Appalachian heritage and culture. Vendors display handcrafted items including woodworking, jewelry, stained glass, photography, pottery, handblown glass, woven textiles, and food items. The event attracts artisans from across the Appalachian region, with all items selected through a juried process to ensure quality and authenticity. The fair is held indoors at the Mountainlair Ballrooms on the WVU campus in downtown Morgantown. The event has been a tradition of Mountaineer Week since 1972 and draws both university students and community visitors seeking unique handmade goods. Hours typically run 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.
