Free hybrid Climate Journalism 101 with Brian Thompson and the Foundation for Local News. Rutgers students attend in person (30 seats); everyone else joins online. Monday, October 5, 5:00–8:00 PM ET. Join Climate Journalism 101, a free hybrid workshop on Monday, October 5, 2026, with the Foundation for Local News. Rutgers students may request one of 30 in-person seats in Room 253 of the Civic Square Building. Everyone else should attend online. The room is reserved from 5:00 to 8:00 PM for setup, the workshop and cleanup. Use the RSVP to request a Rutgers student seat or join online as a public attendee. Featuring Brian Thompson, Emmy Award-winning New Jersey reporter and retired NBC New York journalist. Explore climate reporting with a journalist who spent more than five decades in broadcasting.
