Celebrate the fall season by participating in the Kandiyohi County Historical Society’s Scarecrow Decorating Competition! Gather your family, friends, coworkers, club, or organization and create a unique scarecrow to display on our grounds throughout October. 📅 Registration Deadline: September 25, 2026 🌾 Scarecrow Setup: September 28 – October 2 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) 🗳️ Community Voting: October 5 – October 31 🏆 Winners Announced: November 2 The Historical Society will provide a pole for your entry. You bring the imagination! Participants are responsible for designing, constructing, setting up, maintaining, and removing their scarecrow. All entries must be family-friendly and appropriate for visitors of all ages. No religious or political messages may be displayed. No blood, gore, or frightening graphic content is permitted. Scarecrows should be securely constructed to withstand outdoor weather conditions. Participants are responsible for removing their scarecrow after the competition.
