The Auschwitz Volunteer — The Heroic Story of Witold Pilecki
Sunday, October 18, 2026 · Time at organizer
Online/Virtual Space · Coconut Creek, FL
About this event
Captain Witold Pilecki voluntarily entered the Auschwitz concentration camp, built a secret resistance and sent desperate reports to London and Washington. 947 Days in Auschwitz is a documentary created by Warsaw-based filmmaker Patrick Ney together with the Home Army Museum in Kraków, Poland — home to Pilecki’s eyewitness Auschwitz report. Pilecki’s accounts were smuggled across occupied Europe, reached Churchill and Roosevelt, and were dismissed. This film asks the question history has never fully answered: what if they had listened? This program is free, but registration is required. Registration will close on Thursday, October 15 at 10 PM ET. Instructions and links will be sent out on Friday, October 16 and again on the morning of the program.
