CERT Basic Training - FREE Emergency Preparedness & Response training, open to all current FSU Student, Staff and Faculty. Space is limited, Pre-registration required, link on Canvas under Modules - use "Event & Training Registration" link. Volunteer must attend all three sessions, October 22nd- 24th, 2026. Email CERV@fsu.edu if you have scheduling issues or questions. Thursday 22nd 4:30pm - 10-pm (dinner provided) Friday 23rd 4:30pm - 10-pm (dinner provided) Saturday 24th 9am-6pm (lunch Provided) Join CERV's first on campus CERT Basic Training course, this 3-day FEMA training is open to all new and current CERV Members. All classes, practical exercises, and hands-on skills will be taught in person. This course includes six sections: Disaster Preparedness,Fire Safety,Hazardous Material,Terrorist Incidents,Disaster Medical Operations, andSearch & Rescue.Register: Enroll in CERV Canvas Page- Complete the Contact form before applying; submit a waiver & complete pre-requisite virtual training prior to the first training day. Registrants who have not joined the CERV Canvas page, completed the pre-requisite virtual trainings, and submitted their annual Volunteer Contact form will not be eligible to attend.
