DEER PROCESSING CLASS (DANE COUNTY) Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. DESCRIPTION Learn how to break down a deer into the major cuts of meat and discover the best uses for each cut. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in basic deer processing, meat care, packaging, and food safety. The class will also include venison cooking demonstrations, recipes, and samples, showing how to turn venison into delicious meals the whole family will enjoy. All deer and equipment supplied. Bring a small cooler to take home venison. Location: Blackhawk Bowhunters, 2103 County Hwy PB, Verona, WI 53593 Class Limit: 25 participants Cost: $10* *Free for Blackhawk Bowhunters club members and Field to Fork program participants. Registration required: Raised At Full Draw – Deer Processing Class – Verona Blackhawk Archery Club Interested participants with limited mobility are asked to contact the event organizer about accessibility options in advance of the event.
