His death remains a riddle upon which history has never rendered its verdict. Was it the calculating hand of the envious Rufus Wilmot Griswold , whose venomous pen, covered up the details of his death and deliberately defamed Poe? Or did Elizabeth F. Ellet , ever at the center of whispered intrigues and the source of scandalous “anonymous notes” push Poe to the brink? Or did the celebrated beauty Frances Sargent Osgood , entangle herself in a forever-fatal affection? This mystery penned by Dr. Laura Krell, unmasks one of greatest secrets in history. Based on personal letters, writings, and sworn statements of Poe, this story takes a look at compelling new evidence, and challenges our understanding of history’s greatest poet, and his untimely death. Enter a world where every mask hides a motive, every courtesy veils a threat, and every clock counts down to inevitable ruin. The pendulum swings… and before the Raven utters “Nevermore,” you alone must discover who consigned America’s dark poet to his untimely grave.
