Global and Multicultural Engagement Building (GME), 110 S Woodward Ave., Tallahassee, FL · Seminole, FL
About this event
Join the CGE and Dr. Dragan Kujundzic (Professor of Jewish, Germanic and Slavic Studies, University of Florida) for a double feature screening of The Lemberg Machine (2023) and Inside the Lemberg Machine (2026). The first film, The Lemberg Machine (2023) was directed by Dana Kavelina and is an innovative stop-motion animated film that invites audiences to engage with and examine the lasting impact of violence, memory and identity in wartime Lviv, Ukraine. Dr. Kujundzic's recent documentary, Inside the Lemberg Machine (2026) was filmed this past May on location in Lviv and dives deeper into Kavelina's film. After the screenings, Dr. Kujundzic will answer questions and lead a discussion about both films. This event is brought to FSU by the UF Bud Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies, and the FSU Center for Global Engagement, Ukraine Task Force and Department of Modern Languages & Linguistics. The screenings will begin at 4:00PM in the Globe Auditorium.
