About this event
The North Country Virtual Manga Book Club is a monthly book club, launched in August 2026 and held via Zoom, open to anyone across the North Country of New York. Join the club from the comfort of your own home and talk manga with us! What you love, what you crave, what to read next. Your libraries are looking to connect manga lovers, newbies, and the manga-curious of the North Country. Anyone in northern New York is welcome to attend. The book club is for all ages. Parental or caregiver guidance and participation is recommended for participants under 13. The group picks a genre or theme (e.g., slice of life, shonen, sports, horror, romance, etc.) for each month. Then participants pick any manga they want to read in that theme, read it before the meeting, and come nerd out on it with other manga lovers! Each meeting will include some attendant activities and time for sharing recommendations. In October, we’ll read spooky manga. If you are interested in participating, no need to sign up. Just show up on the next meeting date at 5pm to the zoom link. If you can’t make the next meeting but would like to participate in the future, either watch for promotional materials from your local North Country library or email Amy to be added to the reminders list: amy@nnyln.org. The book club meets via Zoom on the last Tuesday of each month from 5-6pm.
