About this event
The Ummah Dinner is a large-scale community event that we, as the Muslim Student Association, host annually to bring students together for a night of connection, reflection, and community building. Over the years, this event has consistently seen strong turnout and has become one of our most anticipated traditions, highlighting how important it is in helping students build meaningful connections and feel a sense of belonging on campus. Taking place on October 8, 2026 in Damen MPR, the event invites students to dress up, gather, and enjoy a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. While the event is centered around the Muslim community, we want to emphasize that it is open to all students, regardless of background or faith. During the evening, we will be hosting an interactive talk by Sheikh Umar Haseeb, who will speak on a topic relevant to student life and personal growth (to be announced), and students will have the opportunity to actively engage by asking questions and participating in discussion. In addition to the speaker, we will be providing food and Nood Coffee, allowing attendees to share a meal with coffee and connect with one another in a relaxed setting. Overall, we aim for the Ummah Dinner to serve as a meaningful community night that fosters a sense of belonging, encourages thoughtful dialogue, and strengthens connections across campus. --- Event Details: https://lucommunity.luc.edu/rsvp?id=384571
