Tuesday, October 13 – 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fayette Senior Services (FSS) – Peachtree City location at The Gathering Place, 203 McIntosh Trail: With just one bite of Cuba, suddenly every meal has a story to tell! Executive Chef Luis Alas of So Cu Kitchen brings the vibrant flavors, rich traditions, and warm spirit of Cuban cuisine to life. Explore the people, history, music, and cultural influences that have shaped Cuba and its distinctive culinary heritage. From slow-simmered classics to the bold seasonings, signature spices, and family recipes passed down through generations, discover what gives Cuban food its unmistakable character while learning the time-honored cooking techniques behind these beloved dishes. Chef Luis will also prepare a simple demonstration of a traditional Cuban sofrito and offer tastings of Cuban favorites, including savory bites and sweet pastries. It’s a delicious way to savor the heart of Cuba while celebrating the traditions that continue to bring people together around the table. This program is FREE but pre-registration is required.
