About this event
Register Today! Discover Catalina Island’s incredible ecosystem through an immersive afternoon that celebrates native plants, art, culture and restoration . The event at Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden features cultural insights from our Gabrieleno-Tongva partners, who know the Island as Pimugna or Pimu. Together, we will explore the cultural and ecological significance of Pimu and learn how Indigenous stewardship and modern conservation science work in tandem to protect and restore this special place. This free, family-friendly community event includes interactive educational experiences, creative activities and opportunities to learn more about Catalina’s plants, people and conservation efforts. Come explore, create and discover the many ways we can all be stewards of the island. Special children’s programming will be held at Little Fox Hollow during the event. Bring sunscreen and layers as weather conditions change throughout the day. A refillable water bottle is suggested. #image_title
