Join Mead Botanical Garden’s Young Naturalist Explorers class, Saturday , October 17 , 2025 at 6P.M. to learn all about bats! Come get batty with us on October 17th at 6PM for an interactive lesson on bats, followed by a twilight hike. In the barn we will have a variety of hands-on activities for participants to learn about bats and how scientists study them. Then an interpretive hike will begin, focusing on Florida bat species, where you can find them, and how to listen for them. What to bring? Red head lamp or Red flashlight Close-toed walking shoes/boots Weather-appropriate clothing Water Your sense of curiosity Topic: Twilight Bat Hike Instructor: Marcia Anderson Date: Saturday, October 17, 2025 Class Check-In: 5:30 P.M. Class Start Time: 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Location: Discovery Barn, Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S. Denning Drive Winter Park, FL ( See Map Here ) Cost: $10/per child + eventbrite fees *We recommend ages 5-12, but the family is welcome to tag along! Parent participation is not required, but a parent or guardian must remain onsite for the duration of class. Parents/Guardians are not required to purchase tickets for themselves.
