About this event
The Farmers Market in Brazos County is a year-round, vendor-run farmers market operating every Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM in Midtown Park. The market supports regional farms by connecting consumers directly to local food producers, strengthening community bonds and promoting locally-grown food. Vendors include farms, nurseries, and specialty food producers that grow, produce, or cultivate their products in Texas. The market has grown from five to ten participants in the early 1970s to over 70 vendors today. All vendors must prove they make the products they sell and must grow or produce items in Texas. The market receives no city, state, or federal funding and operates through vendor fees and volunteer support. The friendly atmosphere, pet-friendly policy, and year-round schedule make it a consistent destination for customers seeking fresh local produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, and artisan items.
