About this event
Tai Chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai Chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements – connecting the mind and body. Mondays at Emmanual Lutheran Church, 2589 Chain Bridge Rd, Vienna, VA 22181 and Thursdays at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton, VA 22124 from 9:30am – 10:30 am. Fill out this sign-up form if you are interested! The semester enrollment fee is a suggested donation of $45. To register for Tai Chi, or for more information on the program, call 703-281-0538. All classes will meet both: • Physically Thursdays – in the Unitarian Universalist Church (2709 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton VA 22124). • Physically Mondays – in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (2589 Chain Bridge Rd, Oakton VA 22181). • Physically During Spring and Summer – weather permitting, classes may be held outside at Nottoway Park in Vienna (9537 Courthouse Rd, Vienna VA 22181) • Virtually In inclement weather or when churches are not available – by Zoom. Registered AIL enrollees will receive a Zoom link by email. If you do not receive a Zoom link, please contact the office at 703-281-0538. Note: during inclement weather, Tai Chi will follow the Fairfax County School System determination of cancellation or delay.
