Eilee McVey was born in Jefferson City, Missouri and began her dance training with Elite Performing Arts before furthering her dance education at Webster University. In her time at the University she has worked with choreographers such as Michael Uthoff, Eve Mason, Kirven Douthit-Boyd and Donnie Duncan Jr. Upon Graduation she will receive a BFA in Dance with an Emphasis in Modern. McVey explores commonalities within the human experience through the universal language of movement. “I am interested in the facets of life that we are taught to fear or recoil from, specifically in creating a dialogue that discusses these topics under the voice and within movement.” Keenon Hamburg is originally from East Saint Louis, Illinois and began training with Grand Center Arts Academy. Currently, he is working to receive a BFA in Dance with an Emphasis in Ballet. In his time with the University, he has had the opportunity to work with guest artists Jamie Rae Walker, Krystal Butler, Kingsley Beneche and Kirven Douthit-Boyd. Hamburg has performed in works by Webster University faculty, such as Xi Zhao, Robert Poe, Tayler Kinner and Michael Uthoff. Additionally, he has attended summer intensives with Collage Dance Collective in Memphis, Tennessee and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York. Hamburg’s works delve into our relationships with ourselves, social hierarchies and the world around us. He explores the tension between an artist and their craft alongside themes of self-worth and an exploration of human desires. Bella Shea is currently working towards a BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Modern. Growing up at Motion Express School of Dance and Acrobatics, they were trained in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, hip-hop and musical theatre, as well as being a member of Motion Express’ competition team. Shea moved to Chicago to pursue their BFA in Dance at Columbia College Chicago before returning home to finish their degree at Webster. Shea has been privileged to work with artists such as Kirven Douthit-Boyd of St. Louis Dance Theatre, Julie Nakagawa and Sara Bibik of Dance Works Chicago, and Beckah Reed of Webster University. Shea draws inspiration from a variety of sources including chaos, disorder, and isolation. They explore the human relationship to social hierarchies and anarchy through a unique blend of street hip-hop styles and modern dance.
