About this event

The Portage Zhang Farmers Market is an open-air farmers market operating Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM throughout the May to October growing season. The market features more than 35 dedicated vendors including local farmers, specialty food producers, and artisan entrepreneurs selling fresh produce, artisan baked goods, cheeses, meats, flower bouquets, handmade soaps, and unique art. Live music from local musicians accompanies each market day, creating a vibrant community gathering space. The market attracts approximately 30,000 customers annually. Seasonal offerings start with asparagus and rhubarb in May, transition through summer berries and stone fruits, and conclude with apples and pumpkins in September-October. The market accepts food assistance programs including SNAP and WIC benefits.
