About this event
@ Step into the mysterious world of tarot and create 3–5 Major Arcana cards of your own using color, collage, symbolism, and intuition. We’ll explore The Fool’s Journey, uncover the meaning behind classic tarot imagery, and tap into a little artistic magic along the way. Instructor: Amy Miller ( amy_desu@yahoo.com ) Skill Level: Beginner Cost: $45 Date: Sunday, October 11, from 1:00–3:30pm Step into the rich world of tarot through art, symbolism, and intuition. We’ll begin with a brief history of tarot and explore The Fool’s Journey — the story told through the Major Arcana and the archetypes we encounter along the way. Then you’ll create 3–5 tarot cards of your own, using color, collage, or a combination of both. We’ll look at the traditional imagery and symbolism behind selected Major Arcana cards, then use those ideas as a jumping-off point for personal interpretation and creative expression. Throughout class, Amy will offer both artistic and spiritual guidance as you work. No need to be an experienced artist or tarot reader — just bring your curiosity, intuition, and willingness to play. Perfect for October, when a little mystery and magic feel especially welcome. No tarot or art experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to trust your intuition. What you’ll learn: The basics of tarot history, The Fool’s Journey, and the symbolism woven throughout the Major Arcana — and how color, imagery, collage, and intuition can be used to create meaningful, personal interpretations of traditional tarot cards. What to bring: A small stash of old magazines, catalogs, postcards, or other paper treasures you’re willing to cut up for collage. If you have a favorite tarot deck, bring that too — we’ll share, compare, and borrow inspiration from the imagery. All other materials are provided, including mixed media supplies, card stock, colored pencils, acrylic markers, scissors, glue sticks, and blank tarot templates.
