Main Library Auditorium · Lakewood, CA
About this event
Both the Amazon Rainforest and Andes Cloud Forest continue to be assaulted primarily through slash-and-burn farming and oil drilling. As the largest expanse of tropical rainforest in the world with some of the world’s tallest trees, the Amazon is literally being cut down to its knees. Biologist Daniel Weiland will be your guide on a lecture, slide and video tour of one earth’s most vital regions.
