@ Join us for WORK FLOW, a showcase highlighting some of the most active and compelling voices in the 717 independent music scene. Part performance and part process breakdown, the night offers a look into how local artists build their music from the ground up. Featured Artists: benOAKS – Independent hip-hop artist, producer, and graphic designer. His single “Empathy” (with 66notes) is in national indie and college radio rotation, with his next single “Fall Down” (ft. Karma Star) dropping October 23 ahead of his upcoming EP. Circumstantial Saint (Jontel Toland) – Author, poet, spoken word performer, and host of the monthly Puff & Poet open mic at Hempfield Apothetique. Karma Star & GMS – Featured artists on benOAKS’s upcoming EP following their performances at the Indie Artist Workshop showcase. the BJEWELLED – Rounding out the featured showcase with their distinct sound and creative approach. Format: Each featured artist gets 5 to 10 minutes on stage to dissect their creative workflow before playing a set of their latest or favorite recordings, beats, and music. In addition to the featured sets, the night includes 7 open aux spots and an open cypher running throughout the evening. Emcees, vocalists, and poets are encouraged to sign up and take the mic.
