About this event

The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival is a nationally ranked juried art event held twice during the first and second weekends of October coinciding with the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The festival features over 200 fine artists and craftspeople from throughout the US, offering a curated selection of original works including paintings, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, and mixed media. Artists sell their own work directly to buyers. The outdoor venue under the signature big white tent provides a unique marketplace atmosphere bordered by Sandia Resort's architecture and golf course. Visitors enjoy panoramic views of the Sandia Mountains and spectacular views of hot air balloons overhead during morning mass ascensions. In addition to art shopping, attendees experience live regional music, food vendors, craft beverages, culinary demonstrations, and kids' activities. The festival attracts thousands of shoppers and collectors from around the world.
