About this event

A virtual tour from Historic Haddonfield to Cape May Tubman Museum, the UK and Ghana (attesting to the impact of slavery in the formative years of the new democracy in North America). Participation is online via Zoom. Registration is required. Starting at the Point in Historic Haddonfield, interviews will be conducted on each hour and half hour: 12 Noon: The Point in Historic Haddonfield 1:00PM: The Spurlocks of Virginia (descendants of a signer of the Declaration of Independence) 1:30PM: Dr. Vida Korang of the Catholic University of Ghana 2:00PM: Croft Farm and Cherry Hill Africa-American Civic Association 2:30PM: Peter Mott House and Lawnside Historical Society 3:30PM: Macedonia Baptist Church, Cape May NJ 4:00PM: Harriet Tubman Museum, Cape May NJ 4:30PM: Q&A These programs are made possible with funding from Haddonfield Foundation and Haddonfield Rotary Club Foundation, Haddonfield Lions Club and a Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission Mini-Grant.
