About this event

An after-hours wellness series at the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Unwind with a beginner-friendly, one-hour sunset yoga class at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek led by Ashley Shochat. This will be a gentle, slow-paced class emphasizing good alignment in basic postures. Participants will have the option for hands-on adjustments and space to ask questions. Your ticket includes exclusive after-hours access to the Ruth Bancroft Garden beginning at 5:30 p.m., giving you time to stroll through the Garden before class begins at 6:00 p.m. indoors in the Great Room. Please bring a yoga mat! We will have a few available for those who need one. Members can purchase up to 4 tickets at the member price to bring friends. Please bring your membership card—we’ll verify membership at check-in. About the instructor: Ashley Shochat began practicing yoga in NYC in 1990. After studying under Sharon Gannon at Jivamukti, she moved to the Bay Area in 1999 and practiced with Rodney Yee. In 2007, she earned her first teaching certificate from Bikram Choudery (500 hours).
