About this event
The National Folk Festival is a free, three-day outdoor multicultural celebration of America's traditional arts and culture. The event features continuous performances across multiple stages, craft demonstrations, storytelling, and a Festival Marketplace where vendors and craftspeople sell goods. Attendees experience music ranging from blues and bluegrass to go-go and contemporary folk traditions, alongside authentic regional and international cuisine. The festival draws approximately 30,000 visitors and brings together around 300 of the nation's finest traditional artists, musicians, dancers, and craftspeople. Located in the heart of downtown Jackson's historic streets, the festival is held during the second year of a three-year residency, coinciding with America's 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
