TOUR DESCRIPTION Join acclaimed conservation photographer Michael Forsberg for a special photography experience focused on the beauty and drama of migrating Sandhill Cranes and the landscapes they call home. Photographers of all skill levels will have the opportunity to learn from Michael as he shares his expertise in composition, light, field techniques, and visual storytelling. As cranes gather across the landscape, participants can practice their skills, refine their photographic eye, and discover how powerful images can connect people with nature and inspire conservation. Whether you’re an experienced wildlife photographer or simply looking to take your photography to the next level, this unique experience offers an inspiring opportunity to spend time in the field with one of the country’s respected nature photographers. Bring your camera, lenses, and a sense of adventure—and discover the cranes from a whole new perspective. TRANSPORTATION Personal car WALKING DISTANCE & TERRAIN Walking is minimal and limited to short distances over possibly uneven dirt and gravel surfaces. You may also need to stand for extended periods. LANDS PASS If the final destination of the tour changes, this tour may enter CDFW property. If the tour enters CDFW property, participants age 16 and older must carry a current CDFW Lands Pass or a valid California hunting or fishing license in their own name. This tour begins at Hutchins Street Square (125 S. Hutchins Street) in Lodi, California. Participants will check in at the tour registration area at Hutchins Street Square at least 15 minutes before your tour start time. Participants will then travel by personal car to Staten Island. Participates will be encouraged to carpool from either Hutchins Street Square or once they arrive at Staten Island. The tour ends at Staten Island. The final tour location is subject to change (but check in location will remain at Hutchins Street Square even if final tour location changes).
