About this event
Running every Wednesday afternoon from April through November, this farmers market at Carrboro Town Commons brings together local growers and food producers for a mid-week shopping opportunity. The weekly market operates from 3 to 6pm, making it convenient for people stopping by after work or school to pick up fresh produce and other farm goods. Located at 301 W Main St in Carrboro, the Wednesday market fills a gap between the larger Saturday flagship event, giving vendors an additional opportunity to sell to the community throughout the growing season. The market draws a mix of local farmers and producers who focus primarily on vegetables, fruits, and other seasonal produce. Depending on the time of year within the April to November window, you'll find early spring crops like greens and asparagus, summer favorites including berries and tomatoes, and fall staples such as squash and root vegetables. The mid-week timing attracts shoppers who prefer a quieter alternative to weekend markets, including people building their weekly meal plans and local residents who've made the Wednesday market a regular part of their routine. The Carrboro Town Commons setting provides an accessible venue in the heart of the community. This weekly market operates as a complement to the broader farmers market scene in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro area, serving as a consistent outlet for vendors looking to establish regular customer relationships. For growers focused on produce sales, the Wednesday Market offers a predictable weekly slot during the peak growing months, making it a worthwhile addition to a vendor's seasonal calendar.
