About this event
The weekly farmers market in Condon brings together local producers and vendors every Saturday morning during the growing season, running from early July through early October. This is a genuine farmers market experience where you'll find vendors selling produce they've grown themselves, along with eggs, seafood, and plants. The market operates Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, giving shoppers a convenient window to browse and pick up fresh items for the week ahead. Condon is a small community in Gilliam County in north-central Oregon, and this farmers market serves as a gathering place for local food producers and the surrounding community. During the peak summer and early fall months, you'll encounter the variety that comes with Oregon's growing season: fresh vegetables, berries, tree fruits, and other seasonal produce. Many vendors are local farmers who grow what they sell, which means inventory changes week to week based on what's coming in from the fields and gardens. Beyond produce, you'll find eggs and seafood options, giving shoppers multiple categories of fresh food in one location. The market accepts WIC benefits and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (Senior FMNP), making it accessible to shoppers using these assistance programs. This commitment to accepting these payment methods reflects the market's role in serving the broader Condon community, not just those with cash on hand. Whether you're a vendor looking to reach customers who value local food, or a shopper seeking fresh, locally-sourced options, the Condon Community Farmers Market offers a straightforward weekly opportunity. The Saturday morning timing works well for many vendors' schedules and gives the community a regular touchpoint for accessing fresh food during the productive months of summer and fall.
