About this event
Every Saturday morning from May through October, Fulton comes alive with the energy of a true farmers market. Located in Callaway County in the heart of Westminster College's town, the Fulton Farmers Market runs from 8 AM to 12 PM and draws both serious home cooks and casual shoppers looking for fresh, locally-grown produce and farm products. This is the kind of market where you'll find vendors who actually grow what they're selling, not resellers passing through. The market caters heavily to produce vendors and farmers, which means the selection changes with the seasons. Early summer brings tender greens, berries, and the first tomatoes. By mid-season, you'll see the full range of vegetables at peak ripeness. Fall brings squash, root vegetables, apples, and other harvest staples. Because this is a weekly market running through the autumn months, there's a consistent customer base that depends on seeing familiar vendors. The college town setting means you're selling to both long-time Fulton residents and the academic community, many of whom prioritize quality ingredients and supporting local agriculture. The Saturday morning time slot is classic for farmers markets, attracting early risers who want first pick of the best produce and want to get their shopping done before the heat of the day. The four-hour window means vendors need to come prepared with volume, but foot traffic is typically concentrated in the first couple of hours. Fulton's downtown location makes it accessible and gives the market a community gathering feel rather than a side-lot setup. If you're a produce grower or farm vendor looking for a consistent weekly outlet in a college town with engaged customers, the Fulton Farmers Market offers a solid seasonal schedule from spring through fall.
