About this event
Every November, downtown Ada transforms into a vibrant marketplace when the Gathering on Main brings together artisans and makers from across the Chickasaw Nation region and beyond. Set along the historic Main Street corridor at 100 W Main St, this annual craft fair celebrates the work of local creators who specialize in handmade goods, from jewelry and home décor to textiles, ceramics, woodwork, and other unique arts and crafts. The event draws both established vendors with loyal followings and emerging makers looking to connect with customers who value quality handcrafted items over mass-produced alternatives. What makes a craft fair like this different from a farmers market or pop-up is the focus on artisan-created goods rather than fresh produce or pre-made food. While food vendors are part of the Gathering on Main experience, the spotlight shines on makers who design and produce their own work. Attendees typically include gift-shoppers looking for distinctive pieces, locals supporting regional talent, and collectors who follow specific artisans from year to year. The November timing positions the event well for holiday shopping season, making it an ideal opportunity for crafters to reach customers seeking handmade gifts with personal stories behind them. The downtown Ada location provides a walkable, concentrated shopping experience where visitors can browse multiple vendors without driving between locations. This setup encourages longer browsing times and repeat visits as people discover new makers while revisiting favorites. For vendors, the Gathering on Main represents a chance to establish community relationships, build email lists, and generate sales during a key retail period. Whether you create pottery, jewelry, fiber art, paintings, or any other handcrafted item, this annual gathering attracts the kind of shoppers who actively seek out artisan work and understand the value of supporting local makers.
