About this event

Douglas hosts a Western-themed holiday celebration that draws crafters and shoppers looking for locally-made seasonal goods with a cowboy country twist. Cowboy Christmas brings together the charm of a traditional craft fair with the festive energy of a downtown holiday market, making it a destination event for vendors who specialize in handmade gifts, holiday décor, and artisan products. The December timing positions this event perfectly for holiday shopping season, when customers are actively seeking unique, personalized alternatives to mass-produced items. The craft fair atmosphere attracts a mix of local artisans and regional makers who typically offer Western-inspired holiday décor, hand-crafted gifts, seasonal home goods, and specialty foods that reflect the character of Wyoming. Vendors at events like this often sell items ranging from rustic holiday ornaments and festive wreaths to leather goods, jewelry, and other locally-produced items with a Western aesthetic. The holiday bazaar format means you'll find both experienced craft vendors and newer makers, all capitalizing on the increased consumer spending and foot traffic that comes with the Christmas season. Attendees at Cowboy Christmas represent a mix of local shoppers, visitors from surrounding areas, and holiday enthusiasts looking for gifts with genuine character and local provenance. The event's integration with broader downtown festivities, including a parade and community celebrations, means foot traffic extends beyond just the craft fair itself. This creates an environment where shoppers are already in a celebratory mood and spending more time browsing than they might at a smaller market. For vendors, this one-time December event offers a concentrated opportunity to reach holiday shoppers during peak buying season. The Western theme and Douglas location appeal to customers who value artisan goods with regional character, making it a strong fit for makers whose work aligns with holiday gifting or seasonal décor.
