About this event
Every Sunday from May through October, Forest Grove comes alive with the Adelante Farmers Market, a weekly gathering that has become a cornerstone of the community. This farmers market brings together local growers, food producers, and artisans who serve the Forest Grove and Cornelius area, creating a vibrant space where residents can source fresh produce directly from those who grow it while discovering prepared foods and handmade goods. The Adelante Farmers Market reflects the cultural diversity of the region, with vendors offering a wide range of products that go beyond typical farmers market fare. You'll find fresh seasonal produce from local farms, but also prepared foods, baked goods, and specialty items that represent the communities that call this area home. This mix of vendors means shoppers are likely to discover both familiar staples and unique products they won't find at conventional grocery stores. The market atmosphere tends to draw families, home cooks looking for quality ingredients, and neighbors who've made the Sunday market part of their weekly routine. As a weekly farmers market running through the warmer months, Adelante offers consistent opportunities for vendors to build regular customer bases and establish themselves within the Forest Grove community. The May through October season captures the full arc of the Oregon growing season, from spring vegetables through fall harvests. For vendors, this means the ability to participate in a recurring event where loyal customers know to find you each week, rather than a one-time festival appearance. The community-centered nature of the market suggests an audience that values supporting local agriculture and small businesses, making it an appealing venue for food producers and artisans looking to connect with conscientious shoppers in the Portland metro area's outer communities.
