About this event
Crosby Sanctuary (limited access/no fee) is a “hotspot” on eBird and a “project” on iNaturalist . We have documented over 150 bird species on eBird and 300 plant species on iNaturalist. We also have active North American beavers on the property. The gates to Crosby Sanctuary will be open from 8-12 for visitors to enjoy the bird garden and walk the trails, as well as for volunteers to conduct projects and maintenance. Please parallel park on Aquarius Concourse on the same side of the road as the Sanctuary. IMPORTANT : Please wear close-toed shoes or boots (for your safety, no sandals or flip-flops , please), and bring your own water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat if desired. You can access a printable map of the preserve here . NOTE : The entrance is in the middle of the neighborhood – please park inside the gate (limit six vehicles) or on the NW side of the street (same side as the sanctuary).
