About this event
Carefree Farmers Market runs weekly through the fall and winter season, operating Friday mornings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1 Sundial Circle in Carefree, Arizona. The market stretches from early October through late May, making it a reliable destination for locals seeking fresh, locally-sourced products during the cooler months when Arizona's agricultural season peaks. This is a genuine farmers market where vendors bring what they grow and produce, rather than resellers offering mass-market goods. The vendor mix reflects what thrives in Arizona's climate and nearby growing regions. You'll find seasonal produce, fresh-baked goods, locally-made cheese, eggs from local farms, cut flowers, culinary herbs, and seafood from trusted suppliers. Because the market runs through winter, vendors focus on cool-season crops and items that store well, so expect plenty of citrus, greens, root vegetables, and other produce that reaches peak quality during these months. The variety changes week to week depending on harvests, so regular shoppers find something new to discover each visit. The market is set up to serve the full range of shoppers in the Carefree area. It accepts credit cards for modern convenience, but also welcomes SNAP and EBIT benefits, WIC, WIC Cash, and Senior FMNP vouchers, making fresh food accessible to customers across different economic situations. For vendors, this means a customer base that values quality products and shops intentionally, whether they're sourcing for their own kitchen or buying gifts. The Friday morning timing hits the sweet spot before the weekend, letting people plan their meals with fresh ingredients in hand.
