About this event
If you're looking to sell fresh produce, baked goods, or other farm-direct products in the Capital Region, the farmers market at 2570 Route 9 in Ballston Spa offers a solid weekly opportunity from June through October. This is a traditional farmers market setup where local growers and producers come together to sell directly to home cooks, families, and food enthusiasts looking for quality ingredients. The Tuesday afternoon time slot from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM works well for people picking up groceries after work or stopping by on their way home, which tends to draw a consistent crowd of regulars throughout the season. You'll find vendors selling the typical farmers market mix: seasonal vegetables and fruits, fresh eggs, baked goods like bread and pastries, herbs both culinary and ornamental, cut flowers, and other value-added products. The market accepts credit cards, which removes friction for customers and makes transactions smoother during busy hours. This is the kind of venue where customers expect to talk directly with the people who grew or made what they're buying, so there's room for vendors who can speak knowledgeably about their products and build relationships with repeat shoppers. The Ballston Spa location in Saratoga County positions you near a mix of residential neighborhoods and the broader Capital Region customer base. Summer and early fall are peak seasons for farmers markets in upstate New York, so you can expect stronger foot traffic in June and July compared to late September and October, though the market runs through the end of the month to capture fall crops and Halloween shoppers. If you grow or produce items that appeal to home cooks seeking fresh, local ingredients, this weekly market provides a regular sales channel without the commitment of daily or multi-day events.
