About this event
Running weekly from May through October on Friday mornings, this farmers market operates at 801 Wheeling Avenue in Cambridge and serves as a central hub for local producers and shoppers in Guernsey County, Ohio. The market brings together vendors selling fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, herbs, honey, jams, preserves, and a range of other homemade and locally-sourced items. It's the kind of market where you'll find consistent vendors throughout the season, meaning regular customers can build relationships with farmers and producers they trust. The Friday morning timing makes it convenient for weekend meal planning, and the May-to-October window captures the heart of growing season when produce variety is at its peak. Farmers markets like this one differ from craft fairs or festival pop-ups in that they operate on a regular weekly schedule, creating a predictable shopping routine for the community. Attendees typically include home cooks looking for fresh ingredients, people interested in supporting local agriculture, and shoppers seeking quality baked goods and preserved items. The market accepts WIC benefits, making it accessible to a broader range of families in the area. For vendors, a weekly farmers market offers the advantage of building a consistent customer base throughout the season rather than relying on one-time event attendance. It's a steady venue where people know to expect fresh offerings each week, and where regulars return because they value the quality and relationships they've developed at the market.
