About this event
Every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening from July through October, vendors and shoppers gather at the Clovis Farmers Market in eastern New Mexico, just minutes from the Texas border. Located at 2809 N Prince St in Clovis, this weekly market draws a steady stream of customers looking for fresh-picked produce and locally made goods that reflect the region's agricultural traditions and food culture. The market centers on produce vendors bringing seasonal crops to the area. You'll find growers selling vegetables at peak ripeness, along with the local staple that defines much of New Mexico cuisine: fresh and dried chile in various heat levels and preparations. Beyond produce, the market supports bakers offering fresh bread, pastries, and other baked goods, plus artisan vendors selling value-added products and handmade items. The mix tends to draw serious home cooks, families stocking up for the week, and customers specifically seeking ingredients they know come from nearby farms rather than distant supply chains. The Saturday morning slot (8 AM to 12 PM) captures the traditional weekend farmers market crowd, while the Tuesday evening market (5 PM to 7 PM) serves people stopping by after work or fitting a midweek shopping trip into their schedule. Both time slots run during the peak growing season, so summer and fall bring the widest variety and freshest offerings. The seasonal nature of the market means vendors should expect strong foot traffic during these months, with particular demand for chile around late summer and early fall as home preserving season kicks in. For vendors considering the Clovis Farmers Market, it's a straightforward weekly commitment in a smaller market setting that values direct producer-to-customer relationships and regional food traditions. The consistent schedule and focused vendor categories create a reliable customer base familiar with where to find quality local products.
