About this event
Every Saturday morning from April through December, the Edenton Farmers Market brings together local producers and shoppers at 730 N Granville St in this historic Chowan County town. Operating from 8:00 AM to noon, this weekly market captures the seasonal rhythm of North Carolina's coastal region, starting as spring arrives and continuing through the final harvest months of late fall. As a farmers market, Edenton differs from craft fairs or pop-ups by focusing on food, produce, and locally sourced goods that vendors grow or make themselves. You'll find a rotating selection of fresh vegetables and fruits as the seasons change, along with baked goods, cheese, eggs, and seafood from regional producers. Beyond edibles, vendors also offer flowers, plants, and handmade crafts, giving shoppers a genuine community gathering rather than a purely transactional experience. The market welcomes both casual Saturday morning browsers and serious shoppers stocking up for the week ahead. Edenton's farmers market actively supports customers using SNAP/EBT benefits and WIC vouchers, making fresh, quality food accessible across the community. The market also honors Senior FMNP programs and accepts credit cards alongside cash, removing barriers to shopping. Many vendors highlight organic and sustainably grown products, appealing to shoppers who prioritize how their food is produced. This weekly market serves as a genuine connection point between Edenton's agricultural heritage and modern consumer preferences for transparency and local sourcing. Whether you're a vendor looking to establish a regular customer base in a loyal coastal community or exploring new markets to add to your seasonal route, Edenton Farmers Market offers a stable, year-round presence from late spring through mid-December.
