About this event

This late-October craft fair in Grass Valley, CA brings together artisans and makers for a two-day celebration of handmade goods. The Grass Valley Winterfaire Artisan and Craft Fair occurs on October 24-25, 2026, positioning itself as a pre-holiday shopping opportunity when many people begin looking for unique, handcrafted gifts. Unlike larger festivals or farmers markets, craft fairs focus specifically on makers and artisans selling their own creations, which means you'll find goods with genuine stories behind them and direct access to the people who made them. The event draws vendors working across diverse craft disciplines. You might encounter jewelry makers, woodworkers, textile artists, ceramicists, painters, and other creators working in traditional and contemporary handmade traditions. Because this is a winter-season event in the northern California foothills, there's often a natural emphasis on cozy, gift-worthy items and seasonal decor that appeals to both personal shoppers and those buying for holiday giving. Attendees at craft fairs in communities like Grass Valley typically appreciate the craftsmanship and artistic vision behind products, often preferring handmade and locally-made items over mass-produced alternatives. Grass Valley's location in Nevada County provides a regional draw from surrounding communities while maintaining a connection to the area's strong local arts scene. For vendors, this craft fair offers the chance to reach customers who actively seek out artisan goods during a key shopping season. Whether you create jewelry, home goods, art, or other handcrafted products, the two-day format allows you to build momentum with repeat foot traffic and connect with customers who value supporting independent makers. This is the kind of event where serious craft shoppers show up intentionally, making it worthwhile for artisans looking to sell directly to their ideal audience.
