About this event
Held every Saturday morning from May through October in Corbin, Kentucky, this farmers market brings together local growers and producers from the surrounding Appalachian region. The market operates from 8 AM to noon, giving shoppers a convenient window to browse fresh seasonal produce and support regional agriculture. Located near the Daniel Boone National Forest in the 40701 area, the market reflects the agricultural character of southeastern Kentucky, where small farms and family operations have deep roots in the community. You'll find the typical offerings of a seasonal farmers market: fresh vegetables and fruits that change with the growing season, from spring greens and early summer berries to fall squash and root vegetables as the season winds down. Many vendors also bring honey, preserves, and other value-added farm products that showcase local Appalachian food traditions. The market attracts both established farmers with year-round operations and seasonal growers who focus on specific crops. Shoppers tend to be a mix of locals looking for quality produce, home cooks seeking ingredients for weekend meals, and visitors exploring the area who appreciate farm-to-table shopping. As a weekly farmers market rather than a one-time festival, Corbin's market builds community relationships throughout the growing season. Regular customers develop standing relationships with vendors, and farmers can plan their harvest knowing they have a consistent outlet. The Saturday morning timing works well for weekend meal planning, and the five-month run captures the full spring-through-fall growing season in Kentucky's climate. If you're a produce vendor, honey producer, or maker of farm-based goods, this market offers a established customer base in a region where farmers markets are important gathering places for the community.
