The Historic Lafayette Farmers Market is one of Indiana's oldest outdoor markets, operating since 1839 and now in its 187th season. This vibrant Saturday morning gathering features a diverse mix of vendors selling locally grown produce, fresh-baked goods, flowers, plants, honey, jams, handmade crafts, artisan products, and prepared foods. The 2026 season features 120 vendors, including new producers and established local businesses. The market attracts thousands of residents each Saturday and serves as a significant economic engine for downtown Lafayette. Vendors span farmers, bakers, coffee roasters, meat and dairy producers, florists, jewelry makers, and specialty food businesses. Many vendors accept SNAP and WIC benefits. The market operates rain or shine and features live music from local performers throughout the season.
