About this event
Osma Acres Farmers Market brings fresh local food and produce to the Houghton community throughout the growing season, operating from May through early December at 53464 Osma Acres Road. This weekly farmers market runs multiple days each week, making it convenient for shoppers to stop by on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoons. Whether you're looking to stock up on seasonal vegetables, pick up fresh eggs from local producers, or grab homemade baked goods and preserves, you'll find vendors offering the kinds of products that define a strong farmers market experience in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The market welcomes a mix of producers and home-based food businesses selling everything from garden-fresh vegetables and herbs to jams, preserves, baked goods, and cut flowers. This is the kind of farmers market where relationships between vendors and regular customers tend to develop naturally, especially since the market operates consistently across multiple weekly sessions. You'll encounter both experienced farmers and smaller-scale producers who focus on quality and freshness rather than volume. The afternoon and early evening hours mean the market catches both after-work shoppers and people planning their weekend meals. Osma Acres Farmers Market accepts multiple forms of payment, including credit cards, SNAP and EBT benefits, and WIC vouchers, making local food accessible to a range of community members. The market's acceptance of these nutrition assistance programs reflects a commitment to serving the whole Houghton community. If you're a vendor looking to reach customers interested in local, fresh produce and food products, this market's consistent weekly schedule and established customer base make it a solid opportunity to build sales and visibility in Houghton County.
