About this event
Greenfield Farmers Market brings the Pioneer Valley community together each Saturday throughout the growing season, running from late April through late October on Court Square at the heart of Main Street in Greenfield, MA. This weekly farmers market draws a steady stream of shoppers looking for fresh, local produce and artisanal goods in a walkable downtown setting. The market typically features more than 40 vendors, creating a diverse marketplace where you'll find everything from seasonal vegetables and fruits to baked goods, prepared foods, and handmade crafts. For vendors, a farmers market like this one offers consistent weekly foot traffic and the chance to build regular customer relationships. The late spring through fall timeframe aligns with peak growing and crafting seasons, so you'll see farmers selling what's currently in season, bakeries offering fresh breads and pastries, prepared food vendors serving ready-to-eat options, and artisans selling handcrafted items. The mix of vendor types means shoppers come with different intentions, some hunting for dinner ingredients, others browsing for gifts or home goods, which can work well for vendors across multiple categories. The Court Square location in downtown Greenfield positions the market as an accessible community gathering spot rather than an isolated event space. This central placement tends to draw both dedicated market shoppers and casual foot traffic from people already downtown. The weekly frequency means vendors can establish themselves as reliable fixtures in the local food and craft community, and shoppers develop habits around their Saturday visits. Whether you're a produce farmer, baker, specialty food maker, or crafter, a consistent presence at a community farmers market like this one can help you test products, gather customer feedback, and develop a loyal local customer base.
