About this event
Every Saturday morning from May through October, W 7th St in Columbia comes alive with the energy of a true farmers market. This weekly gathering draws locals and visitors who are looking for seasonal produce, artisanal baked goods, and handcrafted items directly from the makers and growers who create them. Operating from 7 AM to noon, the market captures that prime weekend shopping window when vendors are fresh and selection is fullest. As a Maury County institution, the Columbia Farmers Market attracts regional farmers growing everything from early spring greens to late-season squash and root vegetables. Beyond produce, you'll find vendors selling fresh-baked breads, pastries, jams, honey, and other value-added goods that showcase local ingredients. Handmade items also have a regular presence, giving the market a craft-fair element alongside its agricultural focus. This blend makes it appealing to home cooks, bakers, gift shoppers, and people who simply want to support local makers. The May-through-October calendar means you're selling into the growing season when people's interest in fresh, local food peaks. Summer shoppers tend to be especially engaged, filling their bags for weekend meals and entertaining. Spring and fall shoulder seasons bring their own rhythm of customers seeking seasonal transitions. The early morning start time attracts serious home gardeners, restaurant buyers, and meal-prep enthusiasts who know that arriving early means the best selection. For vendors, this consistency and loyal customer base makes the Columbia Farmers Market a reliable weekly sales opportunity in the heart of Columbia's downtown corridor.
